Venn Johns

I joined the ninja warrior family for the third time in 2019. Prior to my debut in Denver on Season 9, I had been a very successful elite athlete in gymnastics (multiple time National Men’s Team member & All American), professional mixed martial artist (14-3 record), black belt in 2 different martial arts and professional bull rider (multiple finals qualifier and Honduran National Champion). Currently, I am the oldest professional bull rider competing, and I feel that training for American Ninja Warrior and focusing on specific recovery techniques help keep me competitive with bull riders and ninjas half my age.
Ninja Name: The Bull Riding Ninja
Best Memory from Your ANW Experience: Every time the phone rings and I see an 818 area code.
Favorite Ninja Obstacle: Anything trapeze-like.
Proudest Ninja Moment: Completing the Bouncing Spider in Dallas (Season 10) because that’s what sent me home in Denver (Season 9).
What I Do When I'm Not Training: I’m really always training either ninja, jiu jitsu or riding bulls, coaching and running my ninja gym. I am honored when I get to speak to kids (and adults) about anti-bullying, my life adventures and motivate them! When there’s time, I also enjoy playing the guitar and a few other instruments.
Fun Fact About Me: Half of my face is titanium now after surgery from a bull riding accident. I am also the proud father of a United States Marine.
